Land Classification Requirement

To proceed, the parcel must hold a valid land classification suitable for irrigation.

Site Visit & Water Delivery Review

A site visit is held to determine the point of water delivery.

Please note: All costs to deliver water from the WID point of delivery to the pivot are the landowner's responsibility — including construction, infrastructure, and all components required to establish water delivery.

Preliminary Board Review

Board decision

Your application is presented to the Board of Directors for preliminary approval. A letter is sent to inform you of the Board's decision.

Preparation of Documentation

With preliminary approval granted, all required documentation is prepared. Depending on your situation, this may include:

Addition of the parcel to the District
Change of Irrigation Acres Agreement
Remote Delivery or Point of Delivery Agreement
Easement and/or Access Agreement
Irrigable Unit Agreement (if applicable)

Signing of Agreements

You'll be invited to the office to review and sign all required agreements. Staff are on hand to answer any questions.

Final Board Approval

Board decision

Your application returns to the Board of Directors for final approval of the irrigation acre purchase. A letter is sent informing you of the Board's final decision.

Invoicing & Payment

An invoice is issued during the first week of the month following Board approval, covering:

Cost of irrigation acres purchasedConstruction, infrastructure & components

Please note: Payment is due within one month of the invoice date.

Construction Process

Once payment is received, the construction team contacts you to coordinate work at your site and advise when construction will begin.

Final Inspection

Upon completion, the Water Service Manager conducts a final inspection and approval — and your new irrigation connection is ready.
